Topics:
A musical in one of the traditional Folk Styles (such as Nautanki). The play should be based on a traditional folk tale from any country.

Rules:

  1. Each School may send ONE team.
  2. Each team will be represented by a maximum of FIVE actors.
  3. Only original plays are eligible. Plagiarism is strictly not allowed.
  4. The duration of the performance should not exceed 8 minutes. This includes any time taken to change sets or props.
  5. Costumes and makeup are permissible but not mandatory.
  6. A maximum of 5 props are permitted and these will be the responsibility of the participating teams.
  7. Props and set elements used must be of a size and weight that can be carried by one person.
  8. The ISEO will provide 3 mikes, 3 chairs, a table and a sound system for CDs if required.
  9. Open or closed flames and pyrotechnics of any sort are not permitted.
  10. A copy of the original script with the Name and Team Code of the School should be submitted to the ISEO Committee latest by 25th January prior to the opening of the Olympiad.
  11. The ISEO committee reserves the right to suggest alterations in the script or withdraw any script it deems inappropriate or unsuitable.
  12. The Committee will notify schools regarding the approval of the script within one week from the date that it is received.
  13. Any impropriety, offensive language, gratuitous violence, ethnic intolerance or racism is strongly prohibited.
  14. Attendance will be restricted to faculty members and members of the participating teams.

 

Note: Entries will be limited to the first TWENTY schools that register for the event.
